The most beautiful place we found in Sicily was La Tavernetta in Scopello. My wife and I stumbled upon this place by chance. Originally, we had planned to spend 4 days in Palermo after exploring Taormina. However, after just one night in Palermo, we realized it wasn't for us and decided to move to Scopello. La Tavernetta was stunning and excellent in every aspect. Here, you will find tranquility, natural beauty, beautiful beaches, delicious food, a stunning pool, breathtaking gardens, and very helpful staff. We will definitely return to this place. We couldn't have asked for a better end to our trip after finding this beautiful hotel

Everything! Loved the location so close to the village and the nature reserve. Great place for hiking and for beaches. Loved the hotel swimming pool to cool down after a busy day walking.
Most of all, we loved the customer care. Amazing staff that go out of their way to help you enjoy your stay. We'll be returning next year for a longer holiday in this beautiful area of Sicily.

Scopella is worth a visit.
Scopella is worth a visit. The coastline is spectacular and the villages charming. Tonnara is an old tuna fishing village with a hotel and accommodation with private and public beach. You’ll need a car and comfortable walking shoes. A lot of the coastal areas are privately owned but you can buy an entry ticket to access the beach or walk the coastal trails.

Scopello is beautiful and the baglio is very atmospheric.
Scopello is beautiful and the baglio is very atmospheric. The beach at the Tonnara can be crowded in high season so we did not go (we had been before) It was extremely hot in July when we were there so we just relaxed rather than travelling around, but from previous visits to the area we know it is well worth visiting.

The little town of Scopello was worth a visit and there were some lovely restaurants and bars there as well as little local shops. Loved the views to the ocean from this quaint village. The village was easy to walk around but parking is on the edge of the village. We had a lovely lunch at La Terrazza but the staff could have been a lot friendlier and it would have made the experience.
Dinner at Tenute Plaia Agriturismo was a wonderful experIence from the staff to the food, the view and ambience. I would definitely recommend this venue.

This tiny town has been discovered and has been shifting from a place locals and italians go to the anonymous and sometimes joyless middle end tourist. The food and services are excellent especially Made in Scilia restaurant and the scuba snorkel outfit https://www.cetariasea.com/. The Zingara reserve is goreg.ous, if mobility is an issue take Vittorio's boat ( above).
For a fun time try the Chiringuito for pizza or just drinks and spontaneous entertainment.

It was chilled but had enough to do for a few days or even a week. There was a great choice in gorgeous restaurants and bars. We loved the pastry shop in the square which was great both in the morning for breakfast and in the evening for drinks. They also have a great choice of ice creams! Most of the restaurants have amazing views, our favourites were Bellevue and bar Nettuno. Short walk down to the Tonnara and a longer but still short walk down to two other beautiful beaches. Also close to the nature reserve which would be fab for hiking in the cooler months.
A very nice small hotel with very kind and helpful staff, in a stunning location. We had dinner two nights and enjoyed good Sicilian cooking, once on the terrace looking over the sea. Breakfast was also very good, a buffet with lots of options.Very close to the Zingaro nature reserve and an easy drive to Palermo airport. Parking is available a short distance from the hotel, we paid 7 euros for 2 nights which seemed very reasonable but there is free parking a bit more distant apparently.
This was one of the best accommodations we have had in Italy. The rooms were designed immaculately with large, modern spaces and comfortable furnishings. The breakfast in the morning was delightful with local specialities that were freshly prepared. And most importantly, the family was gracious and kind and made the experience so joyful. Couldn’t recommend this place more - it has a great location that is close to the natural reserve and to the centro. Looking forward to coming back!
Wow - what an exceptional stay we had. Lucio could not have been more accommodating, ensuring we always had gluten free options for breakfast and taking time to assist us in finding activities in the area.
The accommodation itself is perfect and the views were to die for. The breakfasts were always a feast and the best way to start the day before exploring all Scopello has to offer.
We felt the stress and burnout literally melt away whilst staying here- highly recommend.
spacious, clean and simply furnished. Great to be right on a village street so we could open the doors wide and watch the world go by and feel part of the community. lots of lovely cafes and restaurants to go to with fabulous views. easy access to the Zingaro nature reserve which has wonderful walks and small coves to swim. also you can walk to Tonnaro di Scopello, an old tuna factory, now a lovely hotel and has a museum.
Our ocean view rooms had a spectacular view of the cove and coastal landmarks. The staff were very friendly and facilitated beach towels and umbrellas for our daily swims. Well located in the beautiful little old town of Scopello, short stroll to local restaurants, sanwich/arancini shops, gelato and gift stores. Loved the retro interiors of the rooms, plus the air conditioning was great for the very hot weather.
The hotel was very nice in all.

We had a fantastic stay here, the property is beautiful and the rooms are super clean. The location of this property is ideal, it’s close to many restaurants and the amazing Scopello beaches. Above all, Claudio is a superb host, he gave us fantastic recommendations. We will be coming back.
The host was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious with separate bedroom, living area, and patio, with table and chairs for dining both inside and outside. Easy parking onsite and within 10 minute drive to Scopello, Castelldammare de Golfo, and Zingaro Nature Reserve.
A beautiful villa and garden with lovely pool. Lots of parking space and a great BBQ. You can walk to the nearest beach along the road side, but best to take a short drive. 15 minute walk to 2 supermarkets and an excellent bar. 5 minute drive to the restaurants of Scopello.
This property is dreamy! the outdoors and views are drop dead gorgeous. Indoors in modern and clean, the food both dinner at the restaurant and the free breakfast were outstanding! I highly recommend the pistachio encrusted tuna! this place is a true gem.
The hotel is close to the center of Scopello. The reception staff is very friendly and attentive, carefully listening to your needs and suggestions and answering them. Our room and the whole hotel were extremely clean. We also enjoyed the breakfast.
Just WOW. Stunning views. Super nice hosts. Very well equipped kitchen. Its a gem 💎. best place at Scopello. Thanks again to Gabriella who fixed every little thing in very short time. We had a very great time and we will return definitely again.
Excellent experience staying at Baglio La Riserva in Scopello! Such a beautiful location and free parking was a plus. The breakfast was very nice, try the special homemade cakes! Great recommendations were given by the host. Thank you!
You cannot believe the views from this lovely B and B nestled up in the hills above Scopello, they are just gorgeous. The room was clean and comfortable with a sea view and the breakfast was great too.
A very good swimming pool and had an extensive carpark opposite. Good reception and breakfast areas. This accommodation is a hotel and it was of a standard we would have expected of a 3 star hotel
lovely place, cozy rooms, not far from main beaches, Graziano is extremely welcoming, free vegetables and fruits from own garden, ATM and market are near the hotel. Amazing place. Highly recommend.
Excellent location, walking distance to Scopello and close to reserve. AC, washer, grill and kitchen. Close to market where you can get excellent selection of meat and vegetables.
Excellent view, very nice garden, one of the best pool areas we enjoyed in the last years, parking with video surveillance about 5 min walk from the hotel
