The hotel has a great view over the lake.
Breakfast was nice as was the food in the restaurant, it was good but not amazing as a lot of the other posts have suggested.
Location is ok, as mentioned it has a great view. Downside is the 30 minute walk from town and the fact that it is on a very busy road. There aren’t many walking trails and the hotel didn’t have any information on local walks, local tours and the like.
Set directly on Lake Maggiore, Villa Paradiso has free Wi-Fi with rooms in a 19th-century house surrounded by extensive parkland. It offers a lake-view restaurant and a seasonal outdoor pool.

Everything was lovely, the setting is beautiful, the rooms are modern, the breakfast is good, the view wonderful. We stayed on a rainy weekday off season so did not get to enjoy the terrasse or the beach, but would have wanted to!

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Irene in the breakfast room was the most efficient and happy woman we've come across in many a year, always pleasant and quick - even when things didn't go smoothly. The room was good value for money and the bathroom was large.

Freshly renovated, the place was spotless and beautiful, with nice appliances. It is on the second floor with steep stairs, beware if travelling with an older person like I did. It's not flaw, but something to consider. The comfort of the beds, including the sofa bed was above average. The building is easily 200 years old.

We really enjoyed walking on the lakefront, though the mosquitoes (naturally) seem to love that area too. Be sure to pack repellent spray because they're pretty insistent. The outdoor market by the boat terminal was a pretty nice way to spend half an hour. On our second (and last evening), as we were walking from the city center to our hotel (by the train station) we stumbled upon an outdoor cinema which was pretty cool. One of our favorite places to eat on that particular trip was at Giulietta al Lago. The food was good, we had a table right by the lake (so we were "visited" by swans who got like 2m away from us), and the music was non-stop 80s hits which put me in the absolute best mood.

Arona is a lovely town on the South West shore of Lago Maggiore, just a nice size with plenty of restaurants and bars, many with lake views. A great location to spend a few days or longer in the region.

I had been there a few years ago and it was full of artist and artisan shops. This time is was very commercial, which for me, was disappointing The town is still beautiful by the lake and has a great piazza with entertainment.

We had two days here in February.
We had two days here in February. We really enjoyed it and would visit again. It was fairly quiet which was good. It looked like it could be very busy mid-summer. The full cruise ferries were not working but the shuttle ferry to Angera was still open. We used the train to travel further north where there were other ferries to catch. Would have liked to spend a few more days in and around Arona.

Arona was a perfect destination for a short break.
Arona was a perfect destination for a short break. Just 45 minutes from Milan Malpensa, at the foot of Lake Maggiore. The old town was very pretty with good shops and great choices of affordable restaurants - we like ristorante da Aldo and L'Anticogallo. There is lots to do in the area including bike hire (we cycled up to the national park nearby) and boat trips to neighbouring lakeside towns and islands.
Although a car is helpful we found the buses and trains were good.

I was there only for a business meeting, but the short time I stayed made me fall in love with the town, the scenery and especially the people. I will surely come back one day with my family for a longer stay this region deserves.
This amazing place was the best one in our 17 day journey in south Italy (we have 4 houses)
The house is situated in the wood by very closed to Arona.
Francesca and her family is leaving near the house and they are very friendly and very good people.
It was ideally for us and for ours 3 children’s.
Really thanks for this amazing stay to Francesca!
The breakfast was really rich delicious and fresh with wonderful cakes that Francesca and she’s daughter Lazen made. Every day was another tasty things to eat.
The apartment is in a central location steps from
shopping and restaurants. A nice bakery across
the plaza. Apartment is newly remodeled and
is very clean. Two air conditioners and fans kept
us cool during a heat wave.
A balcony overlooks the lake and castle.
Great communication from the hosts and reservations

Overall, a perfect place to stay in Arona.
This was the outstanding property of our 4 weeks of travel. Location couldn’t be bettered and the attention to detail in the property was exceptional. The quality of all the fittings, furniture and provisions was top level. The air conditioning in an extreme summer heat was brilliant. Our hosts gave us the best tips to ensure Arona and other sites on Lake Maggiore have left us with the best memories!
The central location in the old town. The large apartment with every comfort including the nice breakfast. The view from the balcony was superb. We especially appreciated Gabriella and her family‘s assistance with our luggage upon our arrival and departure! It was also great to have a garage as parking in Arona is pretty crowded.
Great location for a group traveling without a car. Could easily walk from the station and useful to have Lidl nearby. Short walk into Arona which we enjoyed exploring and swimming in the lake. The host of the property was very helpful and welcoming. The kitchen had everything you need if you wished to eat in.
We liked how the property was convenient to drive to Arona, the room very tastefully decorated throughout, comfortable, quiet and clean, Donatella very nice and the breakfast so delicious with local produce. Every detail was well thought out and just perfect! I’d definitely come back again.
The apartment was very comfortable. We had everything we needed. The host is very accommodating and welcoming. She offered lots of suggestions of places to eat, drink and visit.
The location is excellent to be able to enjoy Arona; near the water, shopping and eating establishments.
Lovely hotel, I felt perfect! I highlight the exceptional cleanliness, the delicious breakfast, the promptness of the staff. Despite the small malfunction: the safe in the room was not functional, I would come back here anytime with great pleasure!
The apartment is quite luxurious and big and it is located in the most central spot of Arona. That combination creates the impression that one can go out in the balcony and give a presidential speech.
the lake is right beneath the window! beautiful view of castle, amazing to have access to lovely old hotel exterior on the main piazza. excellent for a family with older kids (steep spiral stair)
We stayed only one night. Very nice room and bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Lovely view of the lake and the sunrise from the room's windows. Very nice breakfast. Ten minutes drive to Arona.
Staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel was small and peaceful with stunning views. A short drive into Arona, well worth a visit for the waterfront walk, bars and restaurants.
The apartment was clean and inviting and the windows looked out on the piazza, and across the lake to Angera Castle. It was the perfect location to walk around, eat and enjoy Arona.
