Room was clean and everything worked properly (not always the case). The bed was comfortable and we had lots of towels for our stay. While there were a few periods of noise during our stay, for the most part the hotel was quiet during the night. Free WiFi is nice to have, though a little more speed wouldn't hurt.

Staff were friendly. It looked like someone had urinated all over the elevator or spilt coffee during the night and when I brought it to their attention they quickly had it cleaned.

Food was good albeit a bit pricey for what you get.
We enjoyed the waterfront parks and the Gord Downie pier.
We enjoyed the waterfront parks and the Gord Downie pier. Also there was some good outlet shopping and mall shopping. Since it was only late April, a number of attractions were not open yet. Also, most places were dog friendly and staff came out to say “bring your dog in”. But we would suggest signage indicating dog friendly or not. ( A simple sign on each entrance to malls, for example.). We had our own car, so easy to get around, and no problem to find parking.

Surprisingly there were a lot of very good and high end restaurants. I was not expecting it during April. The 1000 island cruise was ok but not really something that you “must do” or experience. Recommended you take the ferry to Wolf Island (free) just for the ride (stay on and don’t get off at Wolf Island). The walking track along the river was a highlight. The trolly car was also worthwhile. You get to see a lot of the old buildings on the tour. Kingston history is fascinating. You can also go and walk around the University as well.

Kingston carries itself with the poise of a bigger city while remaining relatively small. Lots of Gothic Revival architecture for the art nerds (I include myself on that list) and a friendly atmosphere made Kingston a fun visit. Also some really good bars and restaurants for a town of its size. A worthwhile visit if traveling between Montreal, Toronto, or Ottawa.

There are great walking trails along the waterfront and the downtown area was less than 10 minute walking distance and felt safe in the evening. The shops were varied and there were plenty of restaurants, bars and pubs to choose from.

It is a very walkabout city. Waterfront trail is a lovely place to stroll. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the downtown core. Lovely architecture in the old residential section. A few historical sites to visit, although open only seasonally.
Worth a visit

The city of Kingston is so littered with homeless peoples garbage everywhere spray paint on almost every corner and a general public are smoking so much carfentanol and enphetameins and if that isnt enough Kingston possessed no family values from city council on down and the cheif of police is responsible for nothing but a 460 million dollar budget and the university students acue one million in fines annually for their wild parties
We were close to downtown. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The room was well stocked.
The tv was kind of small but it was ok. I liked having fridge and microwave. We didn't know there was breakfast if there was - not sure. It was a little more than what I wanted to pay but certainly less expensive that other places. Parking was a bonus. Free Wifi was good. Water and snacks in the lobby - nice touch. Lots of information on what to see and do in Kingston and surrounding areas.
Amazing location..right by the waterfront. We had our dog with us and it was great to be able to take her out for a walk right by the park. Breakfast was a take away box due to COVID restrictions and it was good. Parking was convenient right in the hotel with easy access.
We spent a night only as we were dropping our daughter off to Queens University for her first year. We will use this hotel the next few years when we are in Kingston.
This is the best hotel in Kingston, overall in Canada. The staff, all were very kind and helpful, at the front, in the hotel restaurant, and in housekeeping, impressively kind. Its location in the Waterfront was another merit as well as huge parking lot. Particularly I thank the guy who waited for me in front of room to carry the coffee capsules and cups which I requested for quite a long time even at 6 am in the morning!
We booked at short notice for one night and we were happy to find a fridge, TV, aircon, and coffee making equipment in our clean room. We could open a small window but chose to close it so we couldn't hear traffic noise and the occasional train noise. The bed was comfortable. It's only a 10 minute drive along Princess St to downtown Kingston and the lake from the hotel. Recommended!
Nice and quiet location in a residential area. An easy 7 minute drive to downtown Kingston. Everything you need is in this cozy little apartment. There are even some chairs to sit outside and relax. No cable but plenty of Netflix. We brought our food to cook and the little apartment served us well. Next time we visit Kingston, we would book this again for sure!
Quirky B&B/Boutique Hotel. Well placed for visiting Kingston. Very clean and comfortable room with a very individual feel. We were in Room 3 which has a lovely covered balcony for sitting out. Nice gardens and sitting room. Great toiletries and bedding- very comfortable. Quite different but in a positive sense and enjoyed our stay.
Location, view was awesome. The facilities were great. The people, the staff , the waitresses were all very good and professional. Very close to Kingston downtown, lots of great places to roam around, eat, drink and make ancestors proud. The Kingston cruise and trolly is right next door, just book online and board. 2 mins walk
This is my fourth visit this year!
Great staff, who are welcoming & helpful! Had a large room with very comfortable bed and cozy sheets! Lovely grounds!
Older establishment with period furniture and a “down home” feel!
Good breakfast!
Easy walking distance to all the sights and shopping of downtown Kingston and historic area!
We liked that it was quiet and off the main downtown core area but still walking distance to everything. Everything was easy and as per covid protocol. We loved that it was steps away from the waterfront and that parking was easy.
We would definitely stay here again.
Loved my stay here. The room was clean. The bathroom was clean and was bigger than most hotel bathrooms. The beds were comfortable. They had a microwave. The hotel is not very close to the top attractions at Kingston but it didn’t affect us since we had our own car.
It's certainly more dorm than hotel, but honestly it was fine - clean, spacious, nice check-in staff, good value, and 15-20 min walk to get downtown. I'd recommend it if you're looking for an affordable place to stay in Kingston.
Although the location is a little out of downtown Kingston (10 minutes by car) I would absolutely stay here again. The staff were exceptional, rooms spacious, and the whole property was immaculately clean.
The location downtown Kingston is excellent and close to restaurants on Princess Street. Easy to find and accessible. Parking is available at 30$ per day.
